The main building of Manor Hall is undergoing its most extensive refurbishment since opening in 1932. Since being handed over to contractors in September 2012 the building has been covered with scaffolding. The roof, windows, water, electricity and gas systems are all being improved, along with changes to study bedrooms and updates to most of the communal areas. Some of the scaffolding has now been taken down and the sand-blasted stonework looks glorious!
These changes will improve life for all Manor Hall residents and bring the building up to 21st Century standards. The hall will reopen in time for new residents in September 2013 with the official reopening and 80th anniversary celebrations in Spring 2014.
The Association will be instrumental in celebrating this milestone so watch this space for more details!
