Summer Ball 2018 in Honour of Martin Crossley Evans

The Association's Summer Ball is the biggest event in our social calendar and sees current and former Manor Residents coming together to mark the end of the academic year. This year this black tie event will be held in honour of our outgoing Warden, Martin Crossley Evans, who is retiring this year after a remarkable 33 years in office. He leaves as the longest serving Warden in the history of the University of Bristol and we hope to see many familiar faces from over the decades to bid him a fond farewell.

This year's Ball will be on Saturday, 2nd June in Manor Hall and will include amongst other things:

• A Garden Drinks Reception (Weather Permitting!)
• Three Course Dinner followed by Cheese and Port and Coffee and Petit Fours
• Live Entertainment in the Bar
• DJ Set Until Late in the Junior Common Room
• Silent Disco in the Library
• Casino in the Reception Room
• Studio Photography in the Stops Gallery

Ticket Types

There are a number of different ticket types available for this event, the most cost effective way to purchase tickets is to book as part of a group, with discounts being offered for groups between five and nine (inclusive) and further savings if you book as a whole table of 10. Please be aware that demand for this event is usually high, as such we are releasing group tickets slightly before individual tickets go on sale to allow guests time to organise their groups! When purchasing individual tickets current residents and other Association member will receive a preferential rate. Non-members are also welcome to attend; however, they will pay the full ticket price.

How to Buy

Group tickets will be available online from 1st March using Eventbrite and can be purchased here on our website, through our Facebook page or directly through Eventbrite. Individual tickets will go on sale on 21st March.

Waiting List

As capacity for dinner is limited we advise you to book early as in previous years this event has sold out very quickly. Should all meal tickets sell out again this year a waiting list will be in operation, any tickets that become available will be released to the names on this list on a first come first served basis. Please note that you will only have 24 hours to complete your order before the ticket is offered to the next person on the list. If you have already purchased an Entertainment Only ticket this will be refunded upon request.
